About AEGIS

Founded on May 18, 1962, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, by Charles and Mary Armstrong, along with Dr. Lawrence and Isabelle Shinabery, Aegis began as a sales company. Recognizing the demand for a short to medium-run production shop, the owners transformed Aegis into a manufacturing powerhouse.

Aegis’ journey started in its original building located at 5411 Industrial Road, where it stands today. Over the past six decades, Aegis has experienced remarkable growth, expanding its facility to encompass 16,000 square feet. This expansion reflects unwavering commitment to meeting the evolving needs of clients and the industry.

Aegis has continued to expand and succeed while maintaining control of manufacturing principles. In 1980, Aegis purchased its first precision CNC machine and has continually invested in new equipment and technology. Aegis has evolved into a short to medium-run CNC custom manufacturing Job Shop focusing on Quality and Service.
